FEKKAI is a hair care product line with salon locations founded by world-renowned hair stylist Frédéric Fekkai. With a timeless reputation for setting trends in the salon industry, FEKKAI sought to enhance their online engagement, drive product sales, amplify social media traffic, and establish a platform for sharing expert hair care tips and knowledge.
While working under Barrel, I played a key role in designing captivating Product Listing Pages (PLPs) for their collections, along with the Blog Landing page and a flexible article template. Working closely with FEKKAI's internal design team, we strived to deliver a seamless user experience that aligned with the brand's distinct style, while infusing modernity and cleanliness into the visual solutions. The result is a digital platform that embodies FEKKAI's commitment to excellence in hair care.
Our web design approach for FEKKAI encompassed two vital aspects: elevating the brand's online presence and enhancing the user experience. By combining contemporary aesthetics with intuitive navigation, we aimed to create a harmonious fusion of style and functionality, enabling visitors to effortlessly explore FEKKAI's offerings and tap into their hair care expertise.
By designing the website mobile first, a quick add feature on the the Product Listing page needed to be visible to interact with and apparent at all times. A direct click on any of the product modules would bring the user to the PDP page for the listed item.
To fulfill FEKKAI's objective of sharing hair care tips and knowledge, we crafted a dynamic Blog Landing page that serves as a gateway to a treasure trove of expert content. A visually captivating layout and intuitive categorization make it easy for visitors to explore and access the valuable insights provided by FEKKAI.
Understanding the importance of delivering a consistent yet adaptable content experience, we developed a flexible article template that caters to a range of topics and formats. This template ensures that each article is visually appealing, while maintaining cohesiveness with the overall FEKKAI brand identity.
For the nav dropdown, adding bits of imagery brought in another layer of visual interest that informs users on the type of hair products being featured on the page. Categorizing benefits and different kinds of hair needs was also made a priority for having products easier to find at a glance.
